The Goal: Euhydration

The normal state of body water content; absence of hyperhydration or dehydration.

Dehydration is the state of my body water being in deficit. Some scientists suggest that dehydration refers to the process of losing hydration, while hypohydration is the state of water deficit. Rehydration is my body’s way of regaining hydration from an underhydrated state towards one of euhydration.

Death and life are two factors in the same equation. Disease, it would seem, may be optional.

Pain is my body telling me that I am doing something wrong; suffering results from me not listening to the pain. I’ve learned my lesson, and I am ready to get on with my life.

As I drive around the streets of Los Angeles, I daily see people who likely don’t know that their body is aging much faster than necessary. And some people are just falling apart. I used to be that guy.

June 1st, 2021, marks 5 years since I began a journey of recovery that would end up being something more a voyage of grand discovery. On that day, I began my journey toward sober-minded decision-making that helped me realize that there was something bigger than me in charge of what was going on and that my plans were the problem. I had surely failed some of those around me, but even more so, I had failed my own body.

Yet, in my ignorance, my body saw fit to teach me that there is nothing that I can do to improve its functionality. And that if I want it to perform optimally, I need do nothing more than get out of its way and stop interfering.

Day after day, my body demonstrates that I am continually moving in the right direction. Everything about my body is demonstrating less evidence of age, week after week. And I can’t imagine that this would continue to happen if I were mistaken.

I know that I am unique, as all of us are, but I don’t believe I have any special abilities that every one of you doesn’t also have.

Our body can spontaneously heal itself from many stages of disease if it has the right amount and kind of resources, the energy to do the work and ALL the hydration needed to accomplish the task. The spontaneous healing of cancer is a phenomenon that has been observed for hundreds and thousands of years. After having been the subject of many controversies, it is now accepted as an indisputable fact. And if my body can spontaneously heal from cancer, then I can’t imagine why it shouldn’t be able to recover from any disease state of lesser nature.

I am a first-hand witness to this in my own life. Provide the body with the proper conditions, nutrients, and sufficient hydration, and it knows nothing other than to find homeostasis and heal whatever is keeping you from enjoying a life of ease, rather than disease. Just look around at the rest of nature using naturally occurring or even intentionally activating biology in a way that consumes and breaks down the environmental pollutants. Our body is no different.

I am very fortunate to be looking at a very bright future thanks to my body’s amazing ability to heal itself from the metabolic nightmare I put it through. Alcohol was just the first excess that had to go. Little did I know just how far my body could recover.

This has been a journey, but not my own. I have a feeling the life of this body is needed somewhere far off in the future. But for what I don’t yet know?

Biologically I am a strict determinist. And if there is one thing I see everywhere in nature, it’s that biology does not waste energy where it doesn’t see the potential for the growth of healthy life.

Where is this body taking me?

Introduction

ONE: Explain why the author chose to write about this topic

I literally put down everything else to write this book just for you. Of course, that ‘you’ is everyone, and I mean EVERYONE. I am convinced with every well-hydrated fiber in me that this one factor alone could change the face of the humanity as we know it in as little as 100 years with religious zeal.

TWO: Reveal their motivation and inspiration for writing the book

My motivation for sharing this with you is to inspire you to achieve this mind-blowing state of sufficient hydration. It took me almost 49 years to even achieve the level of hydration that I have is a little perplexing. Nonetheless, I want everyone to know the potential that exists within every one of us. And it’s called Euhydration.

THREE: Describe the process of researching the topic of the book

I want to say I began researching this topic many years ago, but frankly, it was something that just simmered like a pot on the back burner. I don’t believe in chance, so I won’t waste time asking why it took me some 49 years to get through my thick skull. But alas, I am here and very thankful to have this message of euhydration to share with each one of you dry folk…8)

FOUR: Outline the process of writing the book, including any challenges and how long it took

The biggest challenge in writing this book is knowing that it won’t be in my hands to give you personally for some time. I feel like I have been writing this book for almost 3 years now, even though I have just started. I realize that regardless of where all of my research has taken me and to what end I thought it was headed, I was wrong; this is the goal, and it’s called euhydration.

This is my plow for now, and I have motivation for little else. My hope is that each of you at least once in your life could share in my experience. It’s free. It’s water. I know, right? Could it really be something as simple as the sufficiency of hydration? I think so, and the corner my life has turned is one I never want to see again, and I hope that my words will find you achieving this same goal, refreshed and NEVER underhydrated again.

How am I writing this book? Fast and Furious. This feeling is too good not to share.

FIVE: Introduce a new edition of the book and discusses what’s been changed

The reality is I am convinced that sufficient hydration has always been the goal of my life’s work up until this point which led me to the subtitle of this book. “Why I Had to Quit Drinking to Find Hydration.” Time will tell if I am correct in my estimation. This first little book of mine will have on all of you. As I type this, it is 1:58 in the morning, on May 28, 2021, and I just finished my fifth twenty-ounce glass of distilled water, and strangely I don’t even feel an urge to let a single drop go. It’s like I am sitting here literally feeling my body move this water around to where it has been so desperately needing it. Seriously…Fifty ounces of perfectly distilled water, and I have no sensation of a full bladder, but I can literally feel the hydration making its way into my arms and legs literally as I type this word.

SIX: Provide information regarding relevant events that happened after an earlier edition of the book was published

Currently, I am in the middle of two different publishing projects that I have enjoyed working on for quite some time. “Chew Digest” and “Terrain Wiki.”

Chew Digest will be an ongoing publication. A quarterly publication based on what I like to call the Terrain Model of Natural Hygiene. A way of life that I have been practicing since September of 2017. The second project is Terrain Wiki. The purpose of this Wiki is to archive the history of the Terrain Model of Natural Hygiene as I am researching a better way to understand my own body and its unique needs in its course of life. Ultimately I expect that it will be the premier source of all things written over the last 200 years or so of the subject’s movement.

I hope you enjoy the book as much as I am enjoying getting to write it. Thank you for joining me on this nautical voyage…8)
